30-Day Creative Gathering Group Gallery, 9.2022

Diane Scott Wilde

713 pieces of fabulous art were created in our September Gathering. Last year our total was 620. So even though we were missing several artists, we still did very well.
Bravo! One and all! If you painted one day, or 30, Congratulations! Our fourth year is off to a fabulous start!

I am so honored to share this time with so many talented artists. Your work is amazing! I applaud your curiosity, your drive, your experimentation. Your fearlessness. Your desire for growth. Your generosity and graciousness with fellow members is a true gift. Thank you for your kindness, and your honesty.

A huge thank you to all artists for granting permission to show your work here and on the group Pinterest board. I am so excited to share this small selection of fabulous art. I know you will love it as much as I do. Feel free to leave comments for the artists. The Pinterest gallery is even better, you can see them all together. Grab a cuppa, and enjoy!

I did not include links this time, but the artists with websites can easily be found in a browser search. Thanks so much for taking the time to view these fabulous work.

Art can heal, it can lift us up. Art encourages community & reduces isolation. It increases self awareness. For the artist and for the viewer. Art can build a bridge across borders, and foster true friendships. Art gives meaning to our lives. Our Gathering has proven the all of this.

Thank you, for sharing the gift of your creative spirit.

Wishing you peace, health, and JOYful creating!

Happy Weekend Friends

Late night watercolor play. I resisted the urge to fill in the shapes completely, and outline. I added interest with a texture sheet. What do you think… unfinished, or rustic?

I have a handful of small paper scraps that need using. I have decided I need to paint fairly large. 6 x 6 to 12 x12 seems to be good for me. Maybe I should say my eyes and hands have made the decision for me. LOL. It’s getting harder to paint small details.

We’ve had perfect puffy clouds the last couple of days. I wanted to paint the sky.

Enjoying my small paper play. I hope you can find time for the things you enjoy this weekend.

I thank you God
for this most amazing day,
for the leaping greenly spirits of trees,
and for the blue dream of sky
and for everything which is natural,
which is infinite,
which is yes.

A Quick Hello

Hello! Hello Rain! Rain on Mingus. Dark and foreboding. The sun is above us now, but we had two brief spritzing’s. Heaven! I hope it lasts.

Awhile back I took these photos. I changed phones, and the new camera is great! I need to learn how to use it.

I’m very excited. On my old phone this would just look like a fuzzy yellow blob. Never knew there was a trail on the hill. Wow! Haha. Amen for free upgrades!

The Sun loves the Moon so much that he dies every night
to let her breathe, and in return, she reflects his love.

I am taking part in Karen Abend’s Sketchbook Revival. This is my second event. I am days behind, but I am having so much fun. You receive two sessions a day, videos to follow along. And each instructor offers free gifts, more lessons, tips, or inspirations. The workshop runs for several weeks and it is free. You work at your own pace, and can start at anytime. Take a look!

I love meeting the instructors, new artists to follow, and learning new ways to be creative. Watercolor, mixed media, collage, journaling. And that is just the first days!

ps… the rain has cleared. LOL 🙂
