Art And Inspiration

30-Day Creative Gathering Group Gallery
September 2021

Our September Gathering was a huge success. Over 620 pieces of art were created.

Congratulations to each of the members who participated! That includes EVERYONE. If you painted one day, or 30, the effort counts. A few of you were only able to participate through conversations and comments. Acting as a cheering squad and offering suggestions when questions were asked. Thank you all!

3 years of the 30-Day Creative Gathering!

This event completes our third year of “Gathering”. Congratulations everyone!

I am so honored to share a history with so many talented artists. Your work is amazing! I applaud your learning and experimenting. Your fearlessness. Your desire for growth. Your generosity and graciousness.

Our group is open to all, in any medium. Painting, drawing, collage, photography, sketching, digital art and even 3D sculptural art were included in this round. Our goal is to be creative every day, for 30 days. For many of us, that means showing a finished piece each day. But for some, it means sharing a work in progress until the piece is complete.

Our international group has beginners and professionals. We gather twice a year, in February and September. If you would like to join us or know someone who would, you can find us here. A huge thank you to all for granting permission to show your work here and on the group Pinterest board. It is a gorgeous gallery!

I am so excited to share this small selection of fabulous art. I know you will love it as much as I do. Feel free to leave comments for the artists. Follow their links for more information. Enjoy!

My good friend Christiane Drieling has done it once again. Her Art On 45 art show and auction are underway. The show is now on display, and the auction takes place on the 14th. Next Saturday. Oh man, I am later than I thought, getting this post out.

This is the fifth year, and the show includes a retrospective of the previous artworks. I wanted to share a few photos with you, and I will share some from the auction as well. If you are in the area be sure to check it out. It’s a one-of-a-kind art event!

Thank you Christiane Drieling, and Markus Wobisch!
Congratulations on another fantastic year!

Art On 45 Silent Auction

Saturday night was the Art On 45 silent auction in Ruston Louisiana. The event was held at Rumo’s Barber Shop. All proceeds went to NCLAC’s program at the Boys and Girls Club. This was a juried show. My first!

People watching.

NCLAC is receiving a $3,300 check for their outreach program with the Boys & Girls Club, and $400 worth of fine art supplies were donated for them. There was no admission fee, but attendees were asked to donate fine art supplies.

The biddings started at $50 for each piece. 10 pieces received one or two bids. 28 pieces had between 3 and 8 bids, and 2 pieces 12 or 13 bids. 10 pieces sold for $60 or under. 14 pieces sold for between $70 and $90. 13 pieces received biddings between $100 and $175. The highest bids were between $240 and $275 for three pieces.

17 artists were new to ART ON 45 this year, and many of them also new to the audience, because those artists were not local or because they have just started showing.

It was a a wonderful community event. Food and drinks were donated. An aweseome DJ livened things up, and there were small sculptures on display. Posters from all four annual Art on 45 events were for sale as well.
