A couple of weeks before the challenge began, I made a list of title ideas. I always have a hard time thinking of a title. Late at night, under the gun so to speak. I have yet to use any of them.

While painting the stems, a song came to mind. Stand Tall. I remember this song being a favorite. “Inspirational”. I was only nine, so I seriously doubt I was recovering from a heart-break. Funny that his 1970’s suit compliments today’s painting. Not quite sure how to feel about that.

Hey, I think the comments are working again! Carol was able to make one. YAY!!!

Still feel like I am going strong. Haven’t hit that wall. Maybe I won’t this round. Fingers crossed.

Thanks so much for sticking with me on this bumpy website ride! Enjoy  your Wednesday!

Had some errands today, so I did not have time to work on the clouds. Sat down to paint at 10 pm. Getting later and later aren’t I? Spent a half hour thinking about starting a painting. Decided to do a sketch and see if it would be worth posting. Maybe not, but it is Day 13.

I pulled out my waterbrush, watercolor crayons. Oh, and a couple of watercolor pencils. This is the result. I have a pad of the mixed media paper, bought on sale, and this is the second sheet I have used. I really like it. Wondering why I haven’t used it more often.

I added a bit to the foreground of yesterday’s work. I just felt like I had three separate pieces, instead of an integrated painting. Sky, hill, grass. So just a bit of indigo, to add shadow, and reflect a bit of the hills. Don’t know if it was successful, but I like it better.

Maybe it is too busy now. Do you think it should just be a light solid wash over the entire area?

Enjoy your day!

Happy is how I felt painting this. I managed to stay light handed, and not get lost in details. This was number three of four, and I was on a roll.

For all my success yesterday, the exact opposite was true today. I created four rather dull pieces. I will take a look again tomorrow and see if a creative crop, or more layers can save them.

Happy creating y’all!
