It’s time to start planning and painting for the Liberate Your Art international postcard exchange. If you have ever thought of joining in, you can learn more at KAT EYE STUDIO. This is one of my favorite events to take part in. Always fun to reconnect with L.Y.A. friends.

These trees were some of the first art I ever shared with others. I will always be grateful to Kat Sloma for that opportunity. I didn’t even have a website then. A year later, I had four paintings published. See what she started!

I hope you will consider signing up for the swap! Everyone is welcome. You do not have to be an artist. Open to all creatives! Photographers, poets, knitters, you name it! To all of my L.Y.A. friends, see  you soon!

Global Art Swap Finale

Hills from Prescott Valley. 2017 SMD

These nooks and crannies are calling. Paint me, paint me. I made a start, but not sure yet if it will be hills or abstract.

Horribly blurry, but I like the painterly effect. To my eyes, at least. I am sure some of my photographer friends will cringe.

I was beginning to give up hope on my last heART swap postcard arriving, but it did. All the way from Deniliquin Australia! This is cloth and ribbons. Sonya’s message is on two tags that are attached.

I just love the bright cheerful fabrics! The shiny black ribbon. And the gift tag greetings.

Thank you Sonya for sharing your lovely work with me! Such a lovely surprise.
I had a little visit to your area via online images. Lovely historic buildings!
I’d say we both live where the views are dramatic.

With A Grateful Heart

Playing with a new brayer, creating I don’t know what yet. Backgrounds maybe, for more paint. Or papers for collage work. I also used a texture sheet, and a wood stamp. Having fun with these, more on the way!

Recently Simone Nijboer asked several questions on her blog. One of them was about an art community. Would we be interested, and if so, what would we like it to be?  I swear, about a week later, the group was up and running!  You can find out more at ArtNow. You can also see Simone’s wonderful work. I hope you will consider joining us!

Louise Gale’s heART exchange Global Art Swap for November is still active. In the previous post, I shared the first card to arrive. Today I received this lovely surprise!

Isn’t this a beauty? A feast for the eyes, and a treat for the fingers. Lovely textured paper, and a fabric heart. Wonderful crookedy stitching with the tails attached. Love it! The envelope has a wonderful decorative tape with flora, figs and mushrooms. Take a look at the stamp. (Everyone knows the best chocolate comes from Belgium.)

Thank you Inge, for sharing your wonderful art with me!

The next round starts soon! Visit Louise’s site for more.
