Snow And Mo’

Luck was on our side. Roads were clear, and my brother and his wife were able to spend Thanksgiving with us. The snow started early on Friday, and by noon, it was sunny and calm. Perfect weather for a snowball fight before they headed back to Phoenix. I watched it from inside the warm!

We had about 4 inches, Prescott had double that.

These hills are almost back to green now. I love how the snow reveals hidden details. Mingus is still covered. The roads are dry, and the yard is half melted. It doesn’t last long, usually. My kind of snow!

Now for the Mo’

I am having a fabulous kick-off to December! I was featured in last week’s ALL ABOUT YOU. Janine Vangool’s weekly newsletter. It is always chock full of creative inspiration. Color me happy. 🙂 Click on the link if you would like to sign up. She has open calls for submissions.
Share YOUR art! Thank you, Janine, for all that you do to support artists!

Friday I opened an awesome surprise email. My good friend Chandra Lynn honored me with a feature on her blog, Pics And Posts. Along with my piece of art, she shared her own, and also one by my good friend Christine Brooks! Tres Amigas! Chandra’s posts are always heartwarming, inspirational and often gorgeous. I have learned so much from her and sometimes find myself in tears. The GOOD kind. Thank you, Chandra, for sharing your JOY!

Last week I took part in Louise Gale’s “heART Exchange“. I sent out three handmade postcards and will receive 3 in return. I was having so much fun, I made a couple of extras for friends.

I am so in love with these colors right now. I kept playing, and a have a handful in the works. Haha. I also spent a couple of days on a small tree. Just some creative late-night play. I am almost out of Green Gold. Haha.

I was saving this to get back to because I had to comment how wonderful this post made me feel. Your quote at the end is so appropriate. Joy really is a way of living, an attitude of facing all that is thrown at us in the best way we can. Of course it’s not all joy, but positivity certainly helps. From the first photos of the glorious wintery Mingus and deep carpet of snow surrounding you to the wonderful news of being featured in two sites and then your series of charming landscapes and your cheery descriptions, it has put a smile on my face and in my heart each time I read it. Bless you, Sheila, for spreading and sharing joy!

So true Laurelle. Sometimes it is hard to “put on a happy face”. But it is the better option. 🙂 I am so HaPpY you enjoyed this post 🙂 I am hoping it won’t be our last snow of the season.
Thank you my friend, for taking the time to visit, and to share your kind thoughts with me. YOU have filled my heart with JOY today 🙂

It is very NEON at times isn’t it Sea? LOL 🙂 I learned about that color from Angela Fehr. So glad you enjoyed the photos 🙂

Sheila, WAY AWESOME START TO DECEMBER, my friend! I am buoyed by your current color palette—it’s the perfect antidote to a long run of barely interrupted gray here in my neck of the woods. I’m further nourished by the looseness of your landscape postcards and their related 4×4’s!

I am elated and elevated by your generous evaluations! Thank you, Dotty 🙂 It is grey and dark here today. Thought it might snow, but it is just cold and damp. Not raining, just damp. LOL. Wishing you sunny days!

Sheila, this was a wonderful post! Your photography was great—Mingus is glorious with snow! And I love that you are getting recognition. You deserve it, and more. I agree with Dotty’s comment especially, and all those following.

BTW I can no longer “like” your posts. I click on it and it takes me out to another window that’s open.

      Love you, lady!

Dotty has a way with words 🙂 Thank you Kat. 🙂
I think, but this is just a guess, that the problem is with your site. I couldn’t comment on several different blogs. It started suddenly. Then after trying many, many things, I updated my site plugins. I was just on my site and it had to be done. I had no clue it could be the problem. After I did that, the next time I tried to post a comment on another blog, it worked. I can’t tell you what plugin, or why, or how. But I can comment again. LOL 🙂
It’s easy to update them, just click and let it run. It will let you know when it is done. 🙂
Love you right back Kat 🙂
