Everything but the kitchen sink. Well, almost. Collage, acrylic, oil pastel, palette knife, finger paint, pattern. had fun making a mess. Then making something out of it.

Posting this late, but thought you might enjoy. Stages of a sunset.

Love the shape of the cacti – their colour, the line work and ‘dots’ and then putting them against that background – really, really like this!! And thank you for the pictures of the sunset – love those mountains and the stages of the sunset – beautiful

Thank you Janet 🙂 The sunsets have been… quietly grand lately. Sort of sneak up. After that brilliant pink sky, comes a soft lavender. But that is very hard to capture for some reason. Enjoy Janet, can’t wait to see what is next up on your blog!!

WOW, thank you so much Trang for your kind words 🙂 The paper with writing was on clearance. I bought two sheets, probably should have gotten more if they are closing it out. Peace to you Trang, my joyful friend 🙂

What great colour choices for this one Sheila and the contrasts in colour and form work so well. Thanks for sharing the Mingus sunset pics – I don’t see many sunsets because I am surrounded by forest – sigh!

Sheila, I like the sophistication/simplicity synergy here, and the abstraction within representation. Also the immediacy of a central image which anchors me and gives me a place from which to explore and discover all sorts of secrets.

Love this, Sheila! Cacti by nature have such an amazing design and your artistic sense really takes that design to another level. And thanks for sharing the lovely Mingus sunset. There’s a bit of sunset behind the cactus with that lovely shade of purplish pink.

I love your new freedom! The strong contrast between the cactii and the background, Strong and soft, darks and lights Wonderful! Wish it could be enlarged to see more of the textures. Beautiful photos!

I set it so you can click the image and see it on an attachment page, but it is not much larger 🙁 I will remember that next time Carol 😉 There is a pale green scribble on the upper left, barely shows. You can always use CTRL and “+” to increase the page size. So glad y ou like it 🙂
