Distant Vista – Day 11 30 in 30

Distant Vista. 4 x 6 watercolor on 140 lb. arches cold pressed paper. © 2014 Sheila Delgado

I am continuing my birthday celebration this week, thanks to very generous patrons. Sitting on my desk is an Arches 100% cotton watercolor block. And lighting the way is an OttLite. True, clean light. Both of these are not just big buck items, they are MEGA BUCKS! For my budget. Am I blessed or what!

I have three small lamps on my desk. They will all be kicked to the curb when I rearrange to make way for the Ott. Two of the lamps give light that is too warm. One is too cold. One is actually broken, but it extends, so I “made do”.

My tail is waggin’! No really. Just call me little red-head girl and cue the piano!

Today’s painting is a quick one. Oh did I have fun. Bliss! This paper is a dream! Hope you like it too.

Happy painting to all of you who are taking part in Leslie Saeta’s 30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge. Enjoy your weekend everyone!

Happy 2014 Everyone!

I did it. I am doing it. I took Leslie’s challenge again.

I thought I had read somewhere, that it takes six weeks to develop a new habit. But I just did a quick search, and it seems it may only take between 21 and 30 days. So I am good to go on the painting everyday habit, after completing Sea Dean’s December Painting Party.

I have managed to start a few paintings early. Whew!

At last check, there were 365 artists signed on to take Leslie’s challenge. Wow! What a great way to start a creative new year! I am so excited to see all the great art that is going to be born this month!
