I am continuing my birthday celebration this week, thanks to very generous patrons. Sitting on my desk is an Arches 100% cotton watercolor block. And lighting the way is an OttLite. True, clean light. Both of these are not just big buck items, they are MEGA BUCKS! For my budget. Am I blessed or what!

3 lightsI have three small lamps on my desk. They will all be kicked to the curb when I rearrange to make way for the Ott. Two of the lamps give light that is too warm. One is too cold. One is actually broken, but it extends, so I “made do”.

My tail is waggin’! No really. Just call me little red-head girl and cue the piano!

Today’s painting is a quick one. Oh did I have fun. Bliss! This paper is a dream!  Hope you like it too.

Happy painting to all of you who are taking part in Leslie Saeta’s 30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge. Enjoy your weekend everyone!

Thanks Kat, I am going to post all three of them together tomorrow. Yupo is synthetic paper. Sandy Sandy is an artist who uses it, I love her work. http://www.sandysandyart.com/ The colors are so vivid, and you can pretty much wipe off any mistakes and start again.

    Hey There Sheila,

This is absolutely beautiful and so very gentle. You can just put one’s self in the scene and sit and relax for hours. I love this one. You captured a serene landscape for sure.

(Hey..BTW I liked your comment SO much on my Bird Woman… I changed the name and mentioned you in the post 🙂 🙂 )

    Have fun with Day #12

WOW, love this cloudscape Sheila! 140lb Arches Cold Press rocks. I’ve used it (almost exclusively – (except for Yupo ) for the past 35 years. It’s hard to switch when you find a good thing! Glad birthday week is still going strong!!
