
One of the nine that I mentioned as failures. When I removed the tape, the clean white edges made me go, Hmm. Maybe it is not so bad. I would have preferred smooth blends but hey, this certainly does mimic striations seen in the desert landscape.

This painting uses a technique for breaking through your creative block. Again I used a credit card and Yupo. Those two together take control out of the equation. You get what you get. And yes, it might be a hot mess. But it is organic and free-flowing. There are areas of interesting cracking and texture that are not visible in the low res image, unfortunately.
I will be trying more of these. I noticed I was relaxed while working on them. A little closer to getting in the zone.
