The same palette I used yesterday. Different placement and proportions. I used a brayer to apply the base coat of Tawny. Hints of it are still visible under the turquoise.

Two busy days forced me to keep things simple. Not easy. Just simple. Grateful for a few moments of peace and quiet. And color!

I found I could say things with color
and shapes that I couldn’t say any other way.

the language of dreams.

Haha. That is what I was thinking about ME Val. Haha.
Does the fact that I find these color pieces so interesting, make me simple? Haha.
They actually did. I did two at a time. And I layered colors, first using a brayer.
But I wasn’t liking how the colors mixed. I wanted pure hues. There are many layers I added with a brush as well.
If I had known what I was wanting in the first place, I guess I could have done it in one or two layers.
But I tried this, and that, and then something else again. Haha. Got there in the end. 😉
I have to work harder with acrylics I have noticed. Or maybe, because they can be layered, I like to play more. Haha. 🙂
