Insanely behind now. I was gone a full week. Crazy busy. And the first days home were recovery and rest. I need more of that. I didn’t even have the energy to unpack, until day three.

To be honest, I am not sure I have the energy to paint. But I want to. I want to paint flowers, and cacti, and odd desert plants. And Mingus.

I have cut the paper to size. Quite a stack sitting ready. Tomorrow I will begin. Again.

What a powerful woman you are. I’ve had to drop blogging in the face of cascading personal priorities and it really impresses me how much you get done with all your personal challenges. #55 for me too.

I am sorry to hear that Sea. I will keep you and your mother in my prayers my friend. Thank you for your generous assessment. Your words are the perfect breeze to lift my wings! So thankful to all of my online friends, you really do keep me going. Hope you know that!
Thanks so much Sea, for taking the time to stop by. Take good care!

Welcome back! I have been busy with my hubby’s health lately and been a bit scatterbrained. Did I miss why you had to leave for a week? Does it have to do with your father? I know he’s out of the hospital and in healing stage. Thank goodness! And being only a week behind is nothing. I am in an online course and most are in week 23 and I just finished week 5.

The third painting, #55, is the one that really draws me in with its soothing gradations and stark contrast between the different distances. Time now that you are back to take care of yourself and nurture yourself.

Same reason Laurelle. Was to and from the rehab with mom.
I really like that one as well. Just speaks to me. 😉
Well high five and hang in there my behind friend in arms! LOL. I am 12 days behind. UGGHH. Not giving up though. I will do quick ones to catch up, and then work on more complex, he he he I am hoping, pieces when I do. YOU hang in there too, you know it will be worth it!!
Thank you Laurelle, and you too! Easy to be scattered when you are a “caregiver” and trying to keep someone else on track. Sending prayers, wishes for good health for your hubby, and rest for yourself. Hope your normal will be back soon 😉

Take good care of your health first. Rest if you need it. You have to protect yourself to be useful to yourself and others long term.
    Fascinating work, as always~!

Sheila, welcome back! I have actively missed you.

You are not behind. Start where you are.

I especially love the loose, sketchy, relaxed feel of #54, and the teeniest hint of purple.

    Hugs,
    Dotty

Thank you my friend, sweet to hear that 🙂 I have missed you DOTTY!! Hate being so out of touch with what everyone is doing. You are always a daily jolt of inspiration 🙂
That purple was a surprise. It is from the Neocolor crayon. Indigo, and how it separated.
Happy creating to you Dotty, and happy weekend 🙂

Sounds like life is really keeping you busy – don’t forget to take care of yourself. These pieces are very nice Sheila – I like the texture look in the first two and the smoothness of the third – good job!

Thank you Val 🙂 I am making rest a priority, even though I would rather be painting and catching up.
The first two were done with Neocolors. And I like how those remained “grainy” in some areas. The last one was watercolor from a tube.
Enjoy your weekend Val. I cant wait to catch up with you, and see what you have been up to. 🙂

So glad you think so Kat. Because I have had to “rush”, I sometimes feel I am repeating myself. I like that one as well. The subtle color shifts in the front range. Have an awesome weekend Kat! 🙂
