Looking through an old Sara Steele calendar, I was bombarded by her color intensity. I LOVE her use of color. So today, I had that in mind as I worked. This my second piece, the first is a WIP I will share tomorrow.

I find it funny, but so far I have not been stressed about this challenge. I don’t have a map, or even a destination in mind. Just putting one foot in front of the other.

I do know there will be flowers. Of course. And there will be an elephant or two.

I managed to prep a few photos. Not great, but you can see why I am so drawn to the landscape here in Prescott Valley.

We are having the summer rains. Monsoon season. We get short bursts of rainstorms. Sometimes with tiny hail, often with thunder and lightning. We are loving it!  Cloudy skies and colorful sunsets. My view is to the east, and this is one of God’s glorious sunset creations

Sightseeing with friends from California, we discovered Watson Lake. In the rain. I really hoped they would get to see some rain, but I wish it had not been while we were at the lake.  These rocks are so vivid in the sun. Oh well, we still took loads of photos.
