Sheila, just returned from vacation. Mingus #63-66: W O W. These knock my socks off! Just love the surprise in each one, the feeling of mystery, the invitation to see what’s in front of me in a deeper and present way.

Speaking of #’s, can’t believe you’ve already made it to #72 as of my most recently received post. SUCH an undertaking. Do you think #63-66 would have evolved in the absence of the 100daysofpainting?

WELCOME BACK Dotty! 🙂 And drat, I was hoping to have a few more days to catch up on your blog before you started posting again. LOL 😉 I think there are still 3 bloggers I need to catch up with. And None of that will happen until later this week. But what a JOY it will be to see what I missed 😉
So very glad you like them Dotty. They were lots of fun, and I will be doing more of them.
GOOD question. And no, I do not. Not for a good long while. The being behind aspect has led to some very quick, very basic posts. I have not had time to talk about the process or my intentions. I was thinking that the posts might be mundane, and wanted to stir things up. 🙂 Funny h ow one things leads to another isn’t it? 😉

Trees! I like that Sea. I think you are right about 65. I was a fool, thinking that this composition would take less time to paint. Lesson learned, again. LOL 🙂 They are fun though 😉

Each one to me is exciting, with #64 being the most interesting. Oh, those wonderful flows of the foreground — and even though the drips are flowing down the illusion is that it is the foreground which is forward — the salmon-ish smaller hills, then the variations in Mingus, the amazing sky. The eye goes up and down and all around because there’s so much to take in. I have an idea, but I’m sending it via email;)

I agree about #64 Laurelle. I do like the negative shapes in the others, but the variation in color is less visible in them. I had fun with the skies again. When I take a photo of Mingus, it is more sky than mountain. 😉 On to email….

Thanks Val 😉 I need more practice to get the look I am after, but I like how they turned out.
