Thinking these must be starts. Incomplete abstracts. I have a few ideas of what I might do next. We will see if those ideas are still alive tomorrow, or if they are replaced with new ones. Used a palette knife to spread the paint. Getting more practice in.

I meant to add texture while the paint was still wet. As you can see I completely spaced it.

I signed up for a free workshop with Laly Mille.  Follow the link for more information. I am looking forward to it. I am sure it will help keep my momentum going.

It took me a few minutes to see that you were using the same colours for each piece. I am not sure I like the addition of the brown but it does look like you are having fun which is always a good thing. – Enjoy!

That color is a soft rust, it is called buttered yam. The other that I have been using is Terra Cotta, very orangey, rust. To tell you the truth, I do not like how it is looking here either. But the reason why is that the yellow I picked up is too cool. I wanted a deeper, well more orangey yellow. Grabbed the wrong bottle. S WIP, because I need to “fix” the colors. LOL. Enjoy your busy day Val 🙂

I love that Simple Start #1. I guess I’m always looking for something recognizable in an abstract, something that catches my eye, and I see part of a large green flower. Love it!

I was wondering if anyone else would see that Karin 😉 That was a happy accident, I had nothing to do with it. LOL. Enjoy your day, hope you get some creative time in 🙂

Sheila, fun starts. I’m eager to see where you take them. Would love to have you tell a brief history of your abstract painting experience if you’re willing.

Also fun that you’ve signed up for Laly Mille’s workshop. I’m also eager to see where THAT takes you. Lots of good stuff on the horizon!
