Yesterday I thought the painting was missing something. Today’s piece might have too much going on. I was working on a time crunch, watching the clock. I don’t think my mind was fully focused.

I tried a different process with the gauze and paint, the results are not what I had in mind, Again. LOL. You can see on the left, the spread is larger, but the pattern is broken and unrecognizable. Yup. I think I went overboard. Maybe I will feel different in the morning.

Road trip tomorrow. I am going to try to keep up with everything, but I am not sure if we will have internet. Will be spending  much of the time in the car.

Have a great weekend Everyone. Thanks so much for following along, and letting me know what you think. You’ve given me great ideas to try!

I like it, especially the colors. You did great work on the background. I like the inventive way you did the leaves. Very clever. I do understand about the time crunch. I felt it on this one too.

It’s hard. Kim M. Smith paints first thing in the morning, before work each day. I admire her ability to stick to one hour, her work is incredible! Hope your creative time today is less stressful Rebecca 🙂

My eye went right to the captivating gradient in the background again, and the yummy edges between colors. Today’s piece feels upbeat and warm—warm in the way of women friends’ talking and laughing together, offering touches on the shoulder, making empathetic eye contact, writing a recipe down on a scrap of paper.

    Happy road trip to you!

I am so blessed to have you all as my peeps! I love the stories that are being prompted by my paintings. Thank you Dotty. ;o)
Here’s to women friends, to the imagination and creativity being alive and well and growing in the cosmos!

It is amazing to me how your designs manage to come across to me as little beings with a life of their own. How can I see that the one flower is leaning to whisper something to another and the other two politely wait but are curious as to what was said? Why do I see not blue shapes on the right but a group of little faces? Your designs bring out the imagination.

LOL, I love the turbines in So. Cal. We always pass them on our way out. Or now, on our way back into California. I have got tons of photos, They are so interesting to me. So It makes perfect sense. I did get wonky on the petals here, I was using quick, sharp pencil strokes… LOL. You are very observant indeed Sea 😉
