Happy Joyful New Year!

Today is the first day… of the rest of the month!

It is time for Leslie Saeta’s January 30 Paintings In 30 Days Challenge.  Here is my Day One, a GIF for you. Three slides only. I added flecks of color, and then a few long strokes of pastel. Subtle. No title yet.

HAPPY SUPERCALIFRAGILISTIC 2015 to you! May all your days be blessed!

About 25 years ago a theatre student gave me a Christmas pin with Santa and Rudolph dancing in the snow – “There’s no business like snow business” – I wear it every year now. Enjoy the snow knowing the flowers are soon to follow, right?
That’s a sweet painting – I love the movement in the flowers – like they are dancing.

Happy New Year, Sheila!! You’re off to a great start! 🙂 We have snow here, too. It’s been frigid cold..only 11F yesterday with a strong bitter wind on top of it. Today 31F felt (almost) balmy. The only way to stay warm is painting!!!

It’s lovely. Love the idea she has to set her palette ahead of time and keep paints stored in jars. Love this. Good way to paint with colors you love and save time! Thanks for the link and for sharing your beautiful art!

That is the best kind Teresa! We still have lots on the ground, and it may be here a couple more days. The roads are dry, so that is good. Thanks for visiting 🙂

Thanks Dad 🙂 It is not melting, only 40 degrees right now. That’s good, it will soak instead of run off 🙂

Still WOW! Can’t believe the snow is lingering! Your painting expresses just how I would like to feel today. It makes me happy!

I don’t know why, but I couldn’t comment as I usually do, so I just commented on this reply???

Hmm, those glitches really bug me! ha ha So glad you stopped by Karin, and thank you 🙂 I was playing with some new paints, and those colors were calling me. Flowers are always happy aren’t they? Maybe that is why God made them for us 🙂 (Not to mention all the healing benefits.)
