Caught up – 30 In 30

Day 4, 5, 6, and 7

So much for getting ahead. Maybe next time I will use 3 or 4 layers, instead of 158.  Just kidding. I couldn’t decide if I wanted to go light, or dark for the final pieces.

This little series is based on the themes of love and the human condition. I am going to submit artwork to be published in Bradford G. Wheler’s book – LOVE SAYINGS: wit & wisdom of romance, courtship, and marriage.

For “LOVE SAYINGS” he is looking for original artwork and photography that in some way relates to love and the human condition. Artists who would like to be considered can sign up at bookcollaborative.com.

I have paintings in two of Brad’s earlier books. You can see them here, and here.

I haven’t decided on titles for these yet. Any ideas? Home is where the heart is, love on the rocks, heart of mine. Love grows (where my Rosemary goes). I always think in song or movie titles.

I will be painting more on this theme. But I think, it is time for some watercolor.

It’s too bad the copper does not show more in the photos, it looks great, just bits here and there that catch the light. Today was a good day! Six of my fabric designs sold today at Spoonflower! Woo Whoo!

Tons of amazing art to be seen!

They are so sweet and sentimental Sheila! Way to go! You know if you ever need inspiration for paintings about love.. listen to music from the 1950’s They were such and amazingly soppy lot back then.. kinda nice you know! When gents were gents and manners existed 🙂

One of my favorite era’s for music Sylvie. I know them well. Between my Dad, and family gatherings….they were sappy, but than the shockingly sexual songs of a lot of today’s artists. Good Idea… I need to put on some music today when I sit down to paint! 🙂

Hooray! You caught up!! What a great feeling, right!!! These four paintings would look totally awesome hanging together. But, you probably already thought of that. 🙂 Actually, I think there are so many things you could do with this group! It is wonderful. They are fun, cheery, adorable, and very happy! Love them. Good luck with Day #8.

Thanks You Joan! I was going for cherry and playful.I have to admit, the landscapes lining up was a lucky accident, and they line up on both sides. How funny is that :)I am going to put them for sale in my Etsy shop, just need to get good photos 🙂

It makes me happy that you had a good day. Congratulations on everything you are doing. 🙂 Love the little paintings. You can almost see motion in them. My day was not so good. Got a lot of weeding done, but not my painting. I worked on it for hours, but sometimes they just don’t happen…So now I’m behind.

Stick with it Karin. I thought these were muck a few times. When I woke up this morning they were beyond saving. But I managed to save them. Remember, it ain’t over’til it’s over. I was going to start on tomorrow’s, but I am beat… I am going to take my cue from Jim, and kick back and watch a movie 🙂 have a great night Karin!
