I painted this last night. Reworked it today, not sure if it’s a save or a blotch. The original is below. Whaddya think?

The foreground obviously needed something. So I went in with a small brush. I had in mind that I would soften some edges. You can do that with watercolor on paper. On Yupo, rewetting is more like erasing. I used thicker paint. More pigment, less water. That helped a bit.

I really like this technique. I want to get better at it. This was painted using a credit (gift) card instead of a brush. You don’t have control, but you also get lots of happy accidents. 🙂

I am drawn to the little underground stream that surfaces for a surprise visit in #1. I am also drawn to your get-in-there-and-experiment-and-muck-about energy; you en-courage me to follow suit. Thank you, Sheila.

I like it better without the ochre colour. The bottom one made me think of a really wet field after a flood or spring run-off.

I was trying to imagine that as something, but it just looks like a mistake to me. Thanks Val. I know you aren’t a fan of yellow ochre. LOL Happy creating my friend 🙂
