I am having too much fun with these simple little flowers. And by that I mean, I am having fun keeping it simple while I paint these flowers. I completed another bouquet today that I will share with you soon. The vase looks better in person. There is a hint of light blue for shaping, and the yellow reflection does not look so choppy. I used some indigo (watery) for shadow under the petals, but here it looks green, I suppose that works too.

I am thinking I may crop this just a bit on the left and top, but that can be done with matting. I am very tempted to go back in and even out the background, The pink is dark in just that one area. But maybe this is a wall in an old Mexican cantina…  and that stain is from someone throwing their beer against the wall on a rowdy Cinco De Mayo night!

Have a happy Friday muchachos!

You made me laugh heartily when I read about the beer on the wall!thats your story and you are sticking to it! Lol actually, I think it adds interest and beauty to your photo to NOT have it plain. Well done!

Ha Kat! I was going to write that… that’s my story. High five, great minds think alike… or is it wacky minds… haha

I am glad you like them Pam 🙂 There is actually a bit of a neutral mixed with the pink, but it reads as pink in the scan, now I know ha ha ha. I had pink walls when I was seven… maybe I am reverting to my childhood. :))

My first thought was – why a pink background? But if you are going to go around throwing beer and staining the wall who am I to argue. It is fun to do some simple studies and for us to see them – keep playing!

haha Thanks Val! Don’t know why that idea popped into my head… seems like I might have seen that in an old John Wayne movie.
