Life without love is like a tree without blossoms or fruit.
Khalil Gibran

Notice that the stiffest tree is most easily cracked,
while the bamboo or willow survives by bending with the wind.
Bruce Lee

I have been thinking about the trees. So many here were broken by the weight of our rare snow storm. The trimmers are happy I am sure – business is good!  On one street alone, I counted 17 trees that had been broken in half, or just toppled completely. The Italian Cypress are all bending this way and that. But they are still standing.

There are still a lot of us “standing” in this challenge.
High five to everyone who keeps keeping on!

The versatility that you are showing is great although I seem to see a woman’s shape in the trees of this piece – arms up raised swaying in the breeze. Strong and delicate at the same time – good for you!

I really like the color palette of your last few. And I can see several things that would work well into patterns for fabric. This could be the inspiration for a fabric line. But as you do make patterns for fabric, maybe you have already thought of that. Glad we have persevered another day in this challenge. I always enjoy seeing what you have to show us next!

Maybe my hands were thinking of that… but my brain has not been. Susan and Connie mentioned that too. Good thing I have friends to jog my brain! I am glad you are still in the challenge too Pam! Your paintings make me smile each day!

Cool Connie, thanks! I have been so busy keeping up with this challenge, I have not even thought about using these in other ways. Thanks for making my brain click. Susan mentioned a scarf… You both have my brain spinning 🙂
