    Hello Sheila,

I was over at Leslie Saeta’s blog pondering whether or not I should sign up for the September 30 in 30 Challenge.

I have been following Leslie’s blog for a while now, just looking and enjoying the many posts she writes.

I saw your BEAUTIFUL painting on your entry thumbnail at her blog and click on it to see more!

That is where I read that you recently did the Open Studio with Pauline Agnew. So, I went to Pauline’s site to find out more.

You said in your post that this painting might just be your best to date! It is absolutely beautiful !! I love it, and I love that it is faceless, too.

So, you truly enjoyed learning from Pauline? I am seriously considering taking the online ecourse she offers (as a birthday gift from my hubby 🙂

Anyways, I wanted to thank you for signing up for the 30 in 30 because after seeing that beautiful painting of yours it gave me the courage to sign up too! (I’m number 114) I have only been painting for 2 years now, and have taken several online art classes – so being a true “art newbie”, sometimes, I don’t have the courage when viewing all the amazing artists out there because I am no where near that type of experience!)

Have a great day. Thank you again. I look forward to watching for your 30 in 30 paintings!

      Hello Joan,
I am so glad you did sign up. I almost did not want to for the very same reason. But my new friend Lucy Chen convinced me. She told me not to doubt myself. If you read my post, you saw the link to Lucy’s website.

I so very much want to take Pauline’s class, just need to save my pennies for a while. YES! If you can, take it!!

I am off to your site, to contact you there. Thank you so much for your kind words abut my painting! Made my day to come home and read them 🙂

        Hey There Sheila,

Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving such nice comments!

I just subscribed to your blog posts via email 🙂

Yes, I checked out Lucy’s website, too. Such beautiful paintings.

That is very good advice: “not to doubt yourself”. I have to remember this and just keep plugging away.

Good luck with your 30 paintings. I’m going to figure out a theme for each week. Don’t think I could paint 30 of the same theme. Need to change things up a bit! 🙂

        Have a nice weekend.

That is a great idea Joan, maybe I will do that as well. Thanks so much for subscribing to my blog! I am trying to prep my tools for the challenge. I will be working small, but I already have a huge list of supplies I will need to take with me while I dog sit. I will be almost an hour away, so running home for a pen or more paper will not be an option 🙂 This next week is going to fly by – can’t wait to get started 🙂
