For this week’s Spoonflower challenge, an updated take on medallions and insignias. I took my color cues from classic Italian designs I found in The Grammar Of Ornament by Owen Jones.

I added a textured stripe to the background. One that I had used in February’s paintings. Tiny tulips add a little fun.

Voting is now open, and wraps up on the 28th of the month. Thanks so much for taking a look!

Anyone else ready for the weekend?

Haha, thanks for letting me know, Lana. I asked friends for their thoughts, and the pink won.
I liked the pink and one other version, but now I am liking the other one better. Haha.
Hope all is well in your neck of the woods! 🙂

Sheila, the rough textured background stripe juxtaposed ‘precision’ of the medallions and insignia’s provides a compelling visual magnet. I’m ready to move into my Italian villa!

Take me with you, Dotty! I just need a small room in back. I’ll dust the statues, and feed the cats. 😆
Thank you , dear friend. 🙂

I like the design but I don’t like the colours but then that is just me – lol. Good luck with the vote.

Thank you, Val. 🙂 I only like two of them myself. But there were used in ancient designs.
Maybe they will come back around. LOL 🙂
