Another contender. This has more pink in the background than is showing here. I used my Sakura Koi Water Brush. Sea Dean reminded me. I bought it, because I just thought it was so cool, just had to have one. It comes in three sizes, I think I choose the medium.

When I got it home and opened the package. I felt the bristles, and thought there is no way you could have much control. It feels worse than the cheap brushes you get in a kiddie watercolor set. So I sat it aside and forgot about it. I figured the next time I traveled I would take it with me.

Sea asked me if I had tried it, and so of course I had to. And I love it. It holds color well, and cleans easily. I just wiped it once or twice on a damp paper towel, and then dipped it in clean water, but I don’t think I really needed to. I did not see any color coming off in the water.

Now I am excited for the next road trip.
I can paint in the car.
I can paint near.
I can paint far.

I can paint by the pool,
with my handy, cool tool!

OK, that was bad. I am tired and it is 11:57. time to post and link up!

You can paint in the shade, you can paint in the sun. You can paint all day, until you are done!
hahaha-you are hilarious! I know what you mean…..so tired. Anyways, this is great! I love the composition, but mostly how you left the white around the edges of the petals. Beautiful!

Poetry and a bookmark! And at that late hour! Love the peachy background and the white edge around the flowers. Beautiful piece, Sheila.

Sheila, I like the darker colors bleeding out into the petals, and their echo in the background. And I like your Dr. Zeuss! Much cheer here in your post : )

Yes, The Dr. was a big influence. LOL I still have one of my first books. I think it is green eggs and ham. I colored on every single page of it. Sign of an artist ‘ey? Happy day to you Dotty 🙂
