When I scanned this I couldn’t think of a name. I typed in “Ugly”.  I think it is more an indication of how I am feeling.  My blog is missing a month and a half of posts. An important month. September.

The server went down, and it may or may not be fixable. The backup was behind, due to a move. If this had happened 3 weeks earlier, or one week later. Nothing would have been lost. Never fails right. There is nothing I can do, but wait. And pray, that all of those posts can be restored. All of your generous comments. The comments that kept me going. Kind words from friends.

I have been busy painting. But nothing worth showing. Got off to a good start on two of them. Then I found out about the missing posts… and I have been climbing a serious wall since. With luck, my blog will be back to normal in a week or two. (Prayers and good thoughts are welcome!)

Keeping at it though! Putting brush to paper. To canvas. I am going huff and puff and blow that wall down!

Hope you are having a creatively awesome week!

September’s 30 in 30 Starts Soon

Leslie Saeta’s 30 paintings in 30 days challenge is back. There are still a few days to sign up if you’re interested. I love taking part in these. This will be my fifth challenge. Each one has been a learning experience, and my work has improved as a result. If you would like to take a look back, click on the links in the sidebar (below).

I am trying to get a few pieces painted ahead of time. Just in case. Backups, for when a days work just bombs. Here is a small peek…

Joyful Sunday to you!

These boots were made for walkin’…

right down the aisle. I may have mentioned it before, that I have done a lot of work to help my good friends with their daughter’s wedding.

I have put my graphics skills to good use. Designing invites, and gift tags, the wedding program, the seating arrangement, bridal shower decorations. There has been a lot of crafting going on, floral arranging, succulent planting… you name it. We managed to finish a week early. Hallelujah AMEN!

And that is not even the half of it. The men folk have planted and and cleared, and built. And during all this, the blessed couple was also in the middle of building their home! The wedding will be in their back field.

A few of these, and a few of those... click to zoom.

And now with only 3 days to myself, I am starting on my gifts for the bride and groom. I know, I know.  But I must work well under pressure, because the first one came together faster than I had anticipated.

It is a down home country, outdoor wedding. And these are the boots the couple will be wearing. The mother of the bride received the photo in a text. I knew instantly, that it would be a memorable… memory.

The big day is this Saturday, and we are expecting triple digits. We are all saying prayers for cooler temps. Still work to be done…. better get to it!

Happy, blessed week to you!
