I was so enjoying creating new work each day, I completely forgot to post the baby shower gift! It could have been one of my 30’s! My apologies for the terrible photos. This elephant is a light grey, with white details on light turquoise, to fit her color scheme. The white is looking grey to me here. And the photo crop makes it look a bit wonky too.

I decoupaged textured papers on the canvas for fun. Thinking the baby could reach out and touch them, like those fun picture books. But we ended up hanging it above the closet, so that won’t be happening!

Working to get caught up on Sandy Sandy’s e-course. The trip and the challenge made for a late start. But the other students voted on a mini break, so that will work in my favor.

These textures are for backgrounds. We will be adding inspirational words to them later. I always wondered how Sandy achieved these textures, and now I know! A bit hard to see them here, but I will be sharing them again when I am done.

Painted this late last night. Should have turned off the light, but I picked up a brush instead. Really happy with how it turned out. And today four more came into being. I am ahead if I continue to paint each day.

Such fun to splash water, and splash colors, and let them mingle!

FUNdamentals of Alcohol Ink E-Course

Sandy Sandy has a new class starting this week and I am so excited to be taking part! The FUNdamentals of Alchohol Ink E-Course is a four-week course, with more than two dozen demos!  I was hesitant to sign up, and commit to it at the same time as the challenge. But I couldn’t resist. I LOVE Sandy’s work with inks!

I can create at my own pace, and will have access to the lessons for a full year. I have worked with inks just a little on Yupo. I am really excited to learn more about the medium. Take a peek at the links, Sandy has some short videos that show what we will be up to!

My site might be up and down this morning, They are replacing some “trunk equipment” in the area. Don’t ask me what that means. Tech talk. I am just thankful I was finally able to get my post up!

Happy creative Monday to you!

A Day to Give Thanks

January 2015 Challenge Collage, #jan30in30

Thank you Leslie Saeta for bringing us all together. I am in awe not only of your wonderful art, but of how much you accomplish. I really feel I have grown as an artist, with each of your challenges. With this one especially. I am much more at ease with taking risks, and working through difficulties.

Thank you to those who took time to vote in Sea’s Art Party. Have you looked at the prizes in the giveaway? Don’t forget, voters are eligible!

Cindy, thank you for including me in your artist interviews this month. I appreciate the opportunity to introduce myself to your readers. It was such a pleasure to learn about the amazing artists you featured.

Sea Dean, thank you for creating the fun and fabulous Art Party! I really don’t know how you three manage to paint each day, write blog posts, run these huge month-long events, as well as running a business.

Sandy, thank you for nominating me for the 5 Day Art share on Facebook.

And a SUPER MEGA THANK YOU to everyone who followed my progress this month. Thanks so much for taking the time to comment, I really value your opinions! Thanks for the shares, and +1’s, likes and pins! Thanks to my new blog followers!

Thank you to Sea for my special birthday gift. So gorgeous!

And even though they were not birthday presents, thank you to Sandy and Kathy for the chance to have an original piece of your fabulous art! I am blessed!

Hope I am not forgetting anyone. But the way my mind works, and sometimes doesn’t, ya’ never know.
