My head isn’t in the game coach. Yesterday was two months. That could be why. Right? But really I think I have just not recovered from my weekend away. My energy level is about 3.5.

I have been busily painting. Proof below. Sunday, nine pieces. Nine horrible, awful, not even good for a start pieces. Paint overs, all. Gotta be worth a few points. That I kept on trying. Haha. Canvas, Yupo, Paper. N-A-D-A.

Tried a couple of sketches today. Mas Feas. Found more videos by Jean Lurssen, in the vein of Jean Haines. Inspiration. Played with a credit card and watercolor on Yupo. Managed to stay loose. Had fun. I’ve had fun with all the uglies. Even if they turned out yucko.

Personal Foul.

True silence is the rest of the mind, and is to the spirit what sleep is to the body, nourishment and refreshment.

It does not matter how slowly you go
as long as you do not stop.

Art is such a reflection of the states of our mind and heart. Sometimes our mind is totally in it, but the heart just is not; sometimes vice versa. Oh, how lovely it is when they are together and fully in the zone. But this is a very difficult time for all, and you have had some personal situations that have taken a great toll. I’m amazed at how much you do create. Your yupo piece is quite different from your usual palette and textures. Kudos to you for trying it. I see a very imaginative landscape there. As Confucius says, just do not stop. Big hug!

So true Laurelle, I should not be surprised. I will keep on swimming, as Dory once said. Haha.
      Hugs and prayers my friend!

For me having fun is more important than successful art but it is a bonus when they go together. I actually quite like the piece at the top – super sky and the ground colours are great. The mud slid on the left is a bit strange but if you think of it that way – it works – lol. Hang in there girl things will come together.

Haha, thank you, my friend. I am hanging in there like those cats hanging on the screen door. LOL 🙂 I hope all is well with you Cindy. xoxo
