Talking About Texture

Dotty asked about the texture sheets I used in yesterday’s painting. Thought I would share them with you today. They are foam sheets I found on clearance at Michaels. I think they still carry them, but in a kit of some kind. In the kids crafts aisle.

The sheets I have are 6 x 8 inches, patterned on one side only.  I have used them before. Remember this?

I have a second set. If anyone is interested, well 4 anyones. I will share them. I will cut the sheet in fourths, and send you a complete set. Sorry, only for those in the U.S. due to shipping costs. You can give me your address in a comment here on the blog, I will delete the address before I post your comment.

I did a search, but could not find them anywhere else. But I did find this link for Magic Stamps. I have some of these as well. I have not used them yet. Here is a video that shows how they work. Her volume is low, so you may need to turn yours up. She  also shows moldable foam sheets. I found Amazon carries them, as well as moldable foam stamps in geometric pieces.

First four to comment will receive the sheets. I will let you know on Monday, and send them out by the end of the week. Thanks for stopping by, and good luck everyone!

OOPS! Almost forgot. Below you will see links to the Liberate Your Art swap posts. Take a look at the awesome envelopes that Kat has received so far!

Great textures in the foam sheets. The mixed media on yupo is great – you can really see the textures in it.

The texture foam looks like it is a lot of fun Sheila and I would love to have a set. A friend here makes ArtFoamies and they are great for larger applications but these look like they would work well on small things. I am thinking about joining the Liberate Your Art Swap – another way to find new friends and promote your own art. – Have a great day!

Val that would be awesome. 🙂 There is still plenty of time. Think about doing some extras for side swaps. You can get postcards printed at Walmart I think, Staples, Office Depot, Walgreens, Vistaprint, Moo.com.

I will be sending you a set of the texture foam 🙂 YaY!

Good morning, Sheila! This is exactly how the world should work: I ask a question, and in response I get a whole blog post answer with a shot at a giveaway. Hope my day continues to go in this fashion!

These texture sheets look like fun; I think you’d referred to them as pattern sheets in your previous post, but now I see what they are.

Thanks for sharing some of the fun of the LYA swap excitement with us also. I’d love to be one of the volunteers on swap day when the sorting and mailing gets done. That would be so up my alley.

    YAY ART!!!

YaY Art! And YaY Dottie! You will receive a set of the foam pieces 🙂 I would LOVE to help on swap day too. She shares photos with us, and you can tell they are having fun. I will share links to all of the photos here as well.

I hope the rest of your day, and WEEK, goes the same as well Dotty! LOL Enjoy 🙂

      Hi Carol,
I apply the paint to them, and them press them onto the paper. I found them by accident, just wondering the aisles. Clearance always catches my eye. LOL
