Prayer Remembrance

I have been busy making gifts for the Rincon Faith Chapel Women’s Prayer Group. They have prayed for my father Pete for over a year, during his recovery from Guillain- Barre. We are forever grateful.

Now that Pete has started working again, we wanted the women to know how much their prayers have meant to our family. It was a long hard year for all of us, not sure if he would walk again. Before the final diagnosis, we were told it may have been one of several things, including muscular dystrophy.

These are just small tokens of our appreciation. Mom is baking cookies to add to the gift bags. I found tissue paper decorated with crosses and inspirational words.

I copied a gift a friend made for me last year. I loved it, Thanks Pauline! It is a little tea pouch. It holds four tea bags inside, we included four different flavors. I used colorful paper and dimensional stickers, each one is different. The three on the left have a wood grain design.

I made inspirational cards with watercolor and wax resist. Yellow crayon. I added acrylics, pen, and rubber stamping. I laminated the cards, and decorated the envelopes.

The bookmarks are watercolor on the front, skyscapes, and stamping on the back. I added tassels and cross beads.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name! -Psalm 100:4

How many of these did you make? I think it is a very sweet and special gift. I’m sure the ladies will love them and I’m glad to hear your father has recovered. Happy creating my friend! xo Sandy

My favorite gifts have always been those hand made by family or friends. These are so cute. I know they will be loved and appreciated.

I have always loved making gifts… I think I have done it, well all of my adulthood at least. I am so pleased they turned out. I had made bookmarks a while back that did not turn out, so I had to try again 🙂 Glad you like them Sandi 🙂
