Rottweiler Portrait

Worked on this for a friend’s BIG FIVE OH birthday celebration. This was my first attempt, and I am so pleased with how it turned out.

The critic in me says it is completely over worked. I heard those familiar voices in my head the whole time. You know the ones, those characters that go by the names of Fear and Doubt. I just forced myself to work through the mud and the muck. That stage in the middle where it looks like a toddler is holding the brush.

I learned a few new things during the process. For that alone, I can call this a success. The birthday “girl” loved it, and that is all that really matters.

Whew!

Hi Sheila, I would like to personally invite you to my GIFTS AND DECORATIONS ART PARTY. This is similar to the 30 paintings in 30 days, but I’ve set the links to rotate everyone to the top and it has a holiday theme. The registration is on my blog today and I will send out links each day for those that FOLLOW MY BLOG on the left. I do hope to see some of your lovely work at the party. http://paintamasterpiece.blogspot.ca/2013/11/gifts-and-decorations-art-party-begins.html
