Flower paintings were at the ready. But after four days without a brush in my hand, I had to wet some paper. This is inspired by freeway art in Scottsdale Arizona. The ride home from the airport turned into a three-hour tour, errands and traffic. Along the way I took some photos of extremely large cacti, and saw even larger cacti stamped into cement. To cap it all off, dinner was a Philly cheese steak at the Anthem outlets. Mmmm!

It actually was a great day all around.

When I arrived at the airport, I walked away from the Southwest gates, looking for a restroom. Then, because of the crowds, I hightailed it back to Southwest. Just as I was loading my bags on the security conveyor belt, I heard my name. It was my Father. He is retired and lives in Mexico. I knew he was going to be in San Diego, but it sounded like we were going to miss each other. He wasn’t sure which airline I was on, and I truly believe the good Lord had a hand in the timing and our paths crossing.

If I had gone straight to my gate, he would not have seen me. And for some reason my phone was not ringing, I did not even know he was at the airport. But it worked out, and we were able to visit for a few minutes!

Divine intervention! Wishing you a blessed week!
