I have painted, just have not had time to post. Late night playing and relaxation really.  Using up paint on the palette. For these two, I was using a large bamboo brush.

This was cleaning the palette too. It looked like a royal mess. But the next day, I liked the mess and I added marks.

Good news from the Pulmonologist! Lungs are sounding better. He also noticed that I was not coughing as much. Great to hear! Going forward with the same treatments.

I ordered new cannulas. The oxygen tubing. I saw two reviews on YouTube by Chanel White. The new ones are Micro cannulas. Thank goodness I found the videos!

It is hard to see a difference in the photo, but the new one is on the left. The nasal prongs on the previous tubing were so long, that I had to trim them. They were wider, and I was always very aware of them.

The new cannula is so comfortable! The actual tubing is smaller,  and the nose prongs don’t irritate. They are slimmer as well, and taper at the end. I barely feel like I am wearing it. The earlier cannula made me feel like I was wearing a bridle. Add reading glasses, and it felt like a full face mask.

The slender tubing does not hurt my ears. Before the tubing was resting on the back of my ear. Now it rests right in the crevice where the ear meets the head. MUCH better! Such a blessing to have found these early on. I also ordered a one-sided cannula. I will show you that when it arrives. I am looking forward to trying it.

Well. I am going to do it. I signed up for #The100DayProject. It starts April 3rd. So if any of you are as nuts as I am, check it out. Judy Jacobs mentioned it, with an open invitation. I have thought about it for a week or more, and I have a few theme ideas. So, done. Put it out there. Can’t back out now.

Happy week to you!

You are something else, Sheila. In so may ways. I am really drawn (as Dotty is, to “Red”!), but the “marks” you made on a “mess” is nothing less than a cool abstract!
I am so happy your treatment is working. And wouldn’t it be something if everyone had the attitude and gratitude that you have !? Keep doing what you’re doing. xo

Such bright and cheerful paintings! I am so glad you are coughing less and found more comfortable canulas. Would love to see your bamboo brush, Sheila. Your stem strokes have an almost calligraphic style to them. Hugs!

Sheila, I am particularly drawn to “Red” with its ‘du premier coup’ (or ‘at the first attempt’) feel—direct, bold, spare, unfussy. It carries the dynamic courageous energy of vulnerability. A very strong piece. I especially like the red value gradations.

Love how you brought “Marks” to life! It is a record of virtual nocturnal woodland activity not noticed until morning light. Pure delight!

Glad to hear about the favorable refinements with cannulas and tubing.

Awesome that you will participate in #The100DayProject! Woot woot!

First and foremost, that is wonderful news about your lungs. The treatment is working!! And so glad you found more comfortable cannulas. My goodness, what did we do before the internet. I no longer complain about it because it can be such a wonderful tool for all of us. I love your zen-like paintings. Just the idea of using a bamboo brush makes one feel peaceful and these paintings, especially the first one, really soothes one’s soul.
And, darn it, Sheila Delgado, you are tempting me again with the 100-Day project. I signed up even though it is totally crazy, but a little encouragement sure makes the creative juices flow. Now I have a week to figure out how to download to Instagram with an Android phone with not very much data. Whether I do it or not, I will be following your journey as always.
    xoxo

LOL, I know, it’s nuts Laurelle. But I was thinking the same thing. It will get the juices flowing. Dotty told me a neat trick. And there are two things you can do. You can save the image from your site, on your phone. And then add it to IG. Or, attach the image to an email (on the computer). Then download the image from that email on your phone. If you need help, let me know 😉
It does not have to be anything big, and painting everyday surely counts, even if it is not a completed painting. 😉 I am thinking of doing ATC’s even. Very small. But just thinking of ideas.. I have come up with a few, so that is a good thing 🙂
So glad to know you will be following along. And really excited you might be taking part!! 🙂

Love when you go “Big”. First the brush next the substrate! Glad you found those new cannulas. Hope soon you won’t need them! Good luck on the 100 day challenge.
